We primarily serve three populations: seniors (65+), veterans of any branch, and individuals experiencing housing insecurity. All applicants must have a verified, stable income source; be independently mobile and functionally self-sufficient; and be ready for a structured, community-based living environment. If you’re not sure whether you qualify, please reach out and we’ll talk through it together.
No β you do not need to currently live in Florida or Pensacola to apply. We welcome applicants from other areas who are looking to relocate to stable housing in the Pensacola region. Please reach out to discuss your timeline and specific situation and we’ll be happy to assist.

We offer both private and shared room configurations depending on availability. Private rooms provide more personal space and privacy, while shared rooms are available as a more affordable option. During your intake process, you’ll have the opportunity to express your preference and we’ll do our best to match you with the right option based on current availability.
Yes β room type typically affects pricing. Private rooms generally carry a higher cost than shared rooms. Pricing details will be discussed during the intake and follow-up process. Our team will walk you through all costs transparently so there are no surprises.

All of our homes include electricity, water, and high-speed Wi-Fi at no additional charge. These are fully built into your housing β no separate utility bills, no surprise charges at the end of the month. We believe all-inclusive housing reduces stress and helps residents focus on daily living rather than managing multiple expenses.

No β Sunrise Independent Living is a housing provider, not a licensed medical facility. We do not offer nursing care, personal care aides, or medical services as part of our housing program. Residents are expected to be independently functional in their daily activities. However, for residents who need additional support, we can connect them with trusted, vetted third-party providers in the Pensacola area who offer nursing and personal care services.
This depends on the specific arrangement and will be discussed during your intake process. We understand that some residents may receive visits from external care providers. Please mention any care needs during your application and our team will discuss what options are available and appropriate within our community setting.
